In Her Own Words:
My approach:
I love learning about my students’ interests, goals, and personalities and then compiling the right mix of colleges where they can thrive. I also enjoy helping students develop a cohesive personal narrative that allows them to present their best selves in their applications. As the mother of a high school student, I know how much pressure students are under so I try to keep my sessions low stress and use humor to make our time together fun and productive.
What I Love:
I am an organized and detail-oriented person, so I gain a lot of satisfaction from helping students complete each step of the college admissions process and cross it off their list. As a former lawyer, I am a stickler for double checking everything to make sure it is well written and polished. At the end of the process, I want my students to feel a real sense of accomplishment knowing they put forth their best effort.
What I do in my spare time:
I love spending my spare time with my husband and two kids, ages 12 and 15. I am enjoying the teenage years with my kids even more than the baby years, and don’t mind driving them around to all their activities. In fact, we have some of our best conversations in the car. On the weekends, my family likes to stay busy exploring different parts of Boston and going to zoos, art museums, musicals, and restaurants. I also make sure to carve out time to take walks with friends, indulge my reading habit, and spend time with my sister.
