In Her Own Words:
My approach to college counseling:
“As a parent and seasoned practitioner, I recognize that the college process can be stressful for families. I try to help parents and students manage their anxiety by demystifying what colleges want and by keeping students on track. My approach is holistic; I do my best to really understand my students in order to help find the best fit for them. I am comfortable working with a wide range of students and enjoy seeing them mature, even in the relatively short amount of time I have with them. From many years of experience I know that who students are when I meet them is not who they will become.”
Things I love most about the process:
“I love watching students evolve from the time I meet them to spring of senior year when they are making decisions about where to matriculate. I also find great satisfaction in helping families manage their anxiety around the whole college process as I know that outcomes are always better than families anticipate they will be. Partnering in launching students is the most fulfilling career I can imagine.”
How I enjoy spending my spare time:
“In my spare time, my greatest joy is spending time with my two grown sons, their wives and my grandchildren. I also love traveling, paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, biking, gardening and reading.”
