In Her Own Words:
My approach to college counseling:
“College counseling is about building relationships with students and their families. I am passionate about finding schools that are the right fit for each and every student. Making the transition from high school to the world of post-secondary education is exciting and sometimes overwhelming. But with the right support and guidance, it can be a wonderful adventure, and I am honored to be part of that experience. “
Things I love most about the process:
“Adolescents are tasked with walking their paths toward independence as they make the transition from teens to young adults. I have had the privilege of helping thousands of young men and women find schools that are the right fit for them. I love helping students develop well-balanced lists of schools and staying organized throughout this complex process. In particular, brainstorming and editing essays with students is one of my favorite tasks; it’s wonderful to watch their ideas and thoughts morph into beautiful pieces of writing in which they can take great pride!”
How I enjoy spending my spare time:
“When I am not working with students, I am happiest when spending time with my family, especially my daughter who is a freshman in college. I love traveling, and some of my favorite destinations have been China, Mexico, Greece, Austria, Scotland and the Abaco Islands. I also love cooking, deep sea fishing, and believe it or not, ziplining!”
