Meet Julie:

Julie lives in Columbus, OH and her daughter Lisa is really looking forward to moving away from the area to attend college.  Lisa has a tendency to procrastinate and Julie wanted to make sure that she didn’t leave the applications to the last moment.   Additionally, Julie wasn’t confident that her ex-husband was going to provide support financially with the college expenses.

Campus Bound spent time explaining the multitude of steps that are required for the application process.  Challenged by Lisa’s busy schedule, we worked with her to set up a timeline for getting everything done.  We scheduled regular conversations with Lisa.  During these discussions, her counselor would review the previous week’s assignment and discuss next week’s assignment.    Our counselor would log the events and updated her schedule on the password encrypted website allowing Julie to login at her leisure and make sure things progressed as planned.    She emailed her counselor frequently to have her questions answered on a variety of topics.

As a third party, we helped make the process go smoothly.  We have found that acting as an intermediary avoids stress and conflict in selecting schools and going through the details of applying.  In divorce situations, there are ways to maximize scholarship opportunities.  The non-custodial parent can trust that things are going to be done right.
