Meet Cassie

Cassie is from New Jersey and felt like she was on top of the search and application process.   She had researched schools on her own and had worked on her essay as part of her English class.   She felt it would be helpful to have an outside expert review her admissions chances and get some feedback on her essay.

Cassie scheduled a phone consultation with a Campus Bound counselor to review her academic and non-academic profile as well as her interests.   The counselor felt that in today’s competitive environment her college list was a little “top heavy” and we added two additional safety schools that also met her interests.    The essay was reviewed during the second half of the meeting.  The essay was well written but we felt the topic chosen would not help her to stand out in the application review.   With some discussion and follow-up emails, portions of the essay were changed.
